The
Festival is for music lovers and includes a range of activities
such as beach parties, boat cruise, gala dinners club nights and
more, enabling visitors to experience the beauty of the Island whilst
enjoying music from their favourite DJs.
The first De Jam Festival took place in 2004. The event attracted
approximately 300 visitors from Europe, America and, from as far
as, Japan. International DJs such as Stone Love, the world’s
number one reggae sound system, Mistri, Rampage, Daddy Ernie, 90%,
Hyper Esq, Sir George and After Dark took part encouraging their
music followers to join them in Antigua and Barbuda. In 2005 the
Festival saw over 26 DJs from the UK, Germany, Italy, Canada, New
York, Washington, Miami, Los Angeles, Jamaica and Antigua take part
in a spectacular event as the Festival made an amazing impact on
the Island.
The aim of the De Jam Festival is to create greater awareness of
the Island of Antigua and Barbuda in the Caribbean as one of the
‘hip’ locations for the gathering of the best and hottest
Black Music DJs from around the world.
